Weddings

At Aetas Designs we work diligently to make sure that your day is the best it can be. It doesn’t matter whether you are doing a themed wedding or just want your dream dress and don’t want to settle for something you found in a store. We will work with you to achieve your vision of anything from just your dress to the whole entire wedding party, including your parents!

Ordering Timeline

If you only need your wedding dress or a special wedding outfit  made please try to place your order at least 6 months ahead of the wedding if not earlier. If you are placing an order for the entire wedding party and possibly parents as well you must get your order in 8 months ahead of time, preferably a full 12 months ahead of time. The main reason for these time suggestions is so that there is time to coordinate measurements, fittings and hem markings.

PROCESS

One point of contact

Choose one person to be the liaison with Aetas Designs, we recommend that this be the bride or one of the members of your party whom you trust explicitly. This will be the main person we communicate with for scheduling and about any questions in either direction, so they should check there email daily unless they want to be reached by phone. This person must also be responsible for the payments getting to us on a timely manner, this is one of the main reasons we recommend the bride.

Get the party started!

Come visit us with some of your bridal party either in a scheduled meeting or at an event. This gives you an opportunity to meet us and see our portfolios and TRY THINGS ON! This allows you and your party to get a feel for what we offer and what they can choose to wear. Your party does not have to wear all the same thing!

The Second Meeting

The second meeting, sometimes this does happen at the first meeting, is for measurements and for making the official decision of what everyone is wearing. Whether everyone is wearing the same thing or if each person is selecting there own outfit we will need to see every person you are having clothing made for to take there measurements. If you have a member of your party who cannot come in for measurements you will need to know what they want at this point and we will let you know what measurements we will need from them. NOTE This is the meeting where your down payment of %50 of the total cost of the outfits will be due.

Fittings

The third meeting will be to fit everything to each person. This is important to make sure that everyone looks there best on your special day!

FOR THE BRIDE, don’t worry your dress cost will include 2 fittings to make sure it is fit properly, and if more are needed we will talk about them.

The fourth meeting may be combined with the third one and often is especially if the party is far away. This meeting is to mark the hems of everyone’s outfits so that they are even. We have found that if you are having a Bachelor/Bachelorette party before the wedding or just a party with the wedding party two to three weeks before the wedding this is a perfect time to have the hems marked. Also this saves us from having 4-12 half hour fittings scheduled in one week and saves the liaison from having to schedule that many fittings with us. It is much easier to schedule one block of time, and most people don’t mind getting together and having fun.

Final Meeting

The Final meeting is when you retrieve your ensemble and make your final payment. Some people prefer to make payments as they go through the process; whichever way is easiest for you to get us the money is acceptable as long as it all comes from one person. This is part of the liaison’s job is collecting all the money and then paying us with a single form. We will not accept ten different checks from ten different people. WE CANNOT DELIVER A WEDDING ENSEMBLE UNTIL IT IS FULLY PAID FOR!
